I quit my job and took two weeks off before starting my new one and decided to take those two weeks to finally install the new SpeedyEFI ECU in my Miata. The car is a ‘91 that has a ‘99 BP4W engine in it and running on the 1.6 electronics. The SpeedyEFI should help me take advantage of the extra power of the 1.8L engine

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I installed a new water temp gauge, wideband O2 sensor, GM IAT sensor, and some other goodies.

I got it running and tuned just in time too, i have a track day this weekend

If you haven't changed it yet, y ou’ll want an NB fuel pump as well. IIRC, t he NA pump pushes 50 PSI while the NB one does 60, and that difference is the source of the increased injector rating on NBs.

Is this EFI based on the Speeduino platform? I’ve been reading a lot about Speeduino lately as an alternative to Megasquirt, which has gotten pricey.

Yep! SpeedyEFI is based on Speeduino with some minor changes to the board.

Really hope you did a rebuild in the 99 engine  before putting it in. A defect with the thrust bear ing fails around 130k miles.
